Fungi & Art Walk 10 AM – 12 PM Saturday November 10 2018 Victoria Park, 1425 Victoria Dr, Vancouver, BC "Fungi & Art Walk is an experiential and educational, artistic and urban mycological foray/experiential walking tour facilitated by Willoughby Arevalo and Isabelle Kirouac. It's Free! Participants will meet in Victoria Park, walk together in the streets of Grandview-Woodland and Cedar Cottage neighborhoods, and end their journey at Trout Lake Park for a picnic. Rain or shine! Be prepared for the weather. This project arose as an obvious intersection between the work of Isabelle Kirouac as an interdisciplinary performer, and the work of Willoughby Arevalo, a mycologist and visual artist. Through this project, we wish to gather a group of neighbors interested in the intersection between art and ecology to discover the world of fungi through a series of creative tasks involving all senses. Guided through sensorial and artistic explorations, each person will be invited to reflect on the intersections between the kingdom of fungi, the urban ecology and the sensing/thinking body. Thanks to our funders the Vancouver Foundation Neighbourhood Small Grants"
