It comes up and delivers about half a pound of shoots every other day for about 30 days. It starts about the fifth of June and grows quickly. There are about 10 plants Guelph millennium a Canadian version. I steam cook the stalks and serve with a bit of butter. They are the first garden vegetable in the Spring in zone 5. A most welcome treat.
