I found this plant and many like it in a woods in southern Minnesota can you help me identify it? Is it poisonous? Edible? I started seeing them in early August and they still remain in early September. I have to know what kind of plant this is! It's driving me crazy!

    Thanks Kspa

Try comparing to Arisaema triphyllum, jack-in-the-pulpit.

    Agree with abgardeneer. Yes, poisonous.

Thank you for your help. When I looked at a Jack in the puplit it didn't appear to be the same plant. I must have seen one not in it's fruiting stage? Thank again it was driving me crazy that no one knew what it was.

Correct. This one is in the fruiting stage.
