Indeed. Quite an eye-opener. Makes me wonder if other nursery plants are similarly affected.

 

There was a similar concern a few years ago about neonicinoides killing bees. I hope this is another such scare.

@Margot, the same person is the source for the info in both of those articles, and the comments from readers on his own page for the most part do not support his lack of concern.
That's not to say that the issue presented here is as serious as is implied, and sure we can hope it's a scare that doesn't materialize. But pesticides are used to kill predators. Plants with pesticides in their tissues would not seem to be "friendly to wildlife", and labelling them as such would seem to be an issue. It would be similar to your buying fruits from an organic grocer and then learning they had been sprayed and still tested positive for the pesticide when you ate them.
