Hi all, hope you are well! It has been a while. Found this around a homestead on Cheticamp Island, Cape Breton Island...probably cultivated, but multiplying fast. No good hits on I-naturalist. So I turn my adoring eyes to you! This is a woody shrub (should have taken a photo of its habit) acts kind of like a willow in leggy habit, none more than about 6' tall. I deeply appreciate all you do! We have a lot of Permaculture activity around here, and while I love the enthusiasm for plants and growing, there seems to be zero consern about and even defense of invasive species. Trying to encourage Nova Scotia to be more concerned and pro-active. Thank you!

All three photos show the same deciduous Elaeagnus species.

    Apologies for duff answer.
    I thought 2 and 3 were evergreen.

We used to grow Elaeagnus umbellata...deciduous...berried sparkled..didn't notice that in your pics sorry. The scent from the flowers was amazing.
