Hello. I found this little beauty along a roadside the other day along a dry roadside. Narrow leaves. I have no idea what it is. Help!
How far away from a residential garden was this? I agree that it certainly seems to be that, but a quick search suggests that this hasn't been documented in BC before.
Its up a logging road going through a clear cut. So its a good distance away from residences. I didn't think to look in E-flora of BC for documented sites. Linaria purpurea and another Linareia are in the area as well (pics). 40 km away near a gravel pit I found a yellow one (no pic).
Would you happen to have GPS coordinates or very good directions? I'll pass along the info to some people associated with the BC Conservation Data Centre who will evaluate its potential to be added to the BC flora as a new introduced species (once documented and verified).
49°28'48.6"N 124°49'08.7"W Hastings Road off Island highway (take a right at the fork when atop the hill). Under powerlines on south side of the logging road. It got my notice as its the only thing blooming in the area.
Wow this conversation is so intriguing! Its so cool that you are able to document plant populations this way
