dec shrub yellow flowers now diervilla?

a deciduous shrub flowering for the first time over the last couple of weeks, planted a couple years ago growing quite vigorously on a shaded woodland edge searching around diervilla is the closest I have come to an id

 

Could be Cestrum nocturnum.

 

@lokesh Agree with @Arlette, Cestrum , this is also an invasive and toxic to horses , so not a favourite of mine.
You should be able to smell this plant from some distance as it is highly perfumed.

 

it doesn't have jasmine fragrance and flowers are upward facing rather than downward so I am still leaning towards diervila

 

@lokesh The diervila Bush Honeysuckle has little to no scent, so you may well be right.

and is therefore clearly not the plant being asked about. A plant that does in fact have flowers shaped like those of certain Cestrum species instead:

Wikipedia at Diervilla - Wikipedia says Diervilla have an opposite leaf arrangement. Just to the left of centre in the first photo posted here, the leaf arrangement seems clearly alternate.
For Cestrum nocturnum, Wikipedia at Cestrum nocturnum - Wikipedia says the fragrance is released at night.
