This flower/weed grows in the lawn every summer. I tried Google identification which came up with dandelion, which it is definitely not, although the seed/down looks very much the same - about 6cm across. I failed to photograph it while in bloom, but the flower was daisy-like. We are in the west of the Ottawa Valley. Does anyone know what this is.

    Tragopogon of some kind.

Possibly the Tragopogon dubious. Or a member of this family.
