Rescued plant identification

    This plant was almost dead last year when I found it in a large pot at the side of the road. This year is is full of blossoms but I have no idea what it is, I would appreciate help, thank you in advance.

    Small white blossoms, leaves are smooth and soft with no visible hairs on top or underside. There is a new shoot coming from the base of the plant.

    Wow, that was quick and thank you very much. After checking on line I do believe you are correct and I feel very lucky. I had thought about composting the plant as it looked so sick last year but when it bloomed a couple of weeks ago it was so pretty. Another little treasure for my garden.
