Weed or plant?

    Hi, can some identify this? We're in a new house and this began popping up in the front garden, not sure wether to pull it or not. It seems to shoot out runners similar to a strawberry plant. Thanks.

    Wildflower common in Alberta, small yellow flower though the leaves are more interesting than the flowers.. Potentilla anserina syn. Argentina anserina. It makes a great ground cover but does spread everywhere.
