I am at loss with this one... Grows at north slope of a canyon at 2300 m, in a damp place under trees. Sorry, I was in a hurry and did sloppy job with my shots. But as much as I can see, there are two sepals and two two-lobed petals, two stamens and rather one pistil (or two?). I should definitely go back and redo the shots. But until then, any ideas?
Circaea alpina ssp. pacifica (Onagraceae). Actually, according to latest studies, it would appear to be a full species of its own. Cheers, Harri Harmaja http://www.luomus.fi/users/harmaja/vasculars.htm
Kiitos! Thank you, Harri! I always have trouble with monsters and practically each family has a monster inside. For example, Cocklebur - Xanthium strumarium - from Asteraceae, I was asking last year (http://www.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=56994).
