I found my first orchid in the wild yesterday, outside of SW Calgary. Does anyone know what kind this is?

Yes, for sure Amerorchid rotundifolia. Was this in the Kananaskis area? This is a perfect time to see them. I saw thousands of them just a few weeks ago near Edmonton. I was also in Banff just last week, and they were just coming into flower. If you look around the area that this plant was found, you might be able to see Cyp. passerinum, Calypso bulbosa (possibly just past blooming), Cyp. parviflorum, and many others.
