    Hello!
We just moved to a new house in Oakland, CA, and it came with new plants which need lots of maintenance. But first I need help identifying them. Also, if you have any advice on how to trim/prune/maintain them, that is definitely appreciated too.

Photos are below. Many of the plants are pretty entangled. Is this good for them, or not? There is one vine in particular that is wrapping around plant 2, which I assume is not good for plant 2. (this vine is in the last two photos)

    Thanks so much!

3rd from the end photo, orange flower, is a nasturtum. And I agree no.1 is a Bougainvillea. barb

Here is what I think they are.

    1. Bougainvilla
    2-3 Lycianthes rantonnei
    4-7 Pandorea jasminoides
    8-9 Solanum jasminoidies
    One with Orange flower: Nasturtium
Last one looks like a Jasminium spp. Maybe J. polyanthum?

Photo #10, large leaf, edged in red/bronze is a Canna. By the size and color of the flower, coupled with the height of the plant, this could be Canna edulis. C. edulis will usually have a bit of yellow on the red flower throat. Anyhow, definitely a canna.
