I just opened a bag of potting soil I had left over from last summer and it had a strong sulfury smell (hydrogen sulfide?) due to the fact that the bag was sealed and the soil was therefore under anoxic conditions. Can I still use this soil or will it harm my plants? Can I ammend it in anyway or should i just get rid of it?

We suggest you put it in a bucket, stir around and expose to the air , then go ahead and use!
