Anyone out there have knowledge of how best to germinate seeds of the smoke tree (Cotinus coggygria)? Or as to the feasibility of such an enterprise?

Haven't tried these myself, but tempted to. Dirr's manual of propagation says several methods work: 30-60 minutes of acid followed by 3 months cold; or simply collect and plant green in late August-September for good germination the following spring.
