i have a small "donut" peach tree....about seven feet tall. first time ever for this event.....everything was going ok until...
lately about half of the peaches, which about the size between a golf ball and a tennis ball, are beginning to split apart.
i have a feeling the damage is done, but in the event of future trouble, can anyone tell me why or how to prevent this?
i am a total novice at this. also...i am finding out, squirrels like peaches...just enough to pull them down take a few bites and leave them.
    thanks for any help.

yes....that is exactly what it looks like. i take it, from what i read, that the heat is the cause. it is hot, but i never thought that it would result in that.
    thank you.
