Identification: ID Shrub #1 in SW Ontario

    I moved into my first house and have a bunch of shrubs in the front yard. I need to figure out how to prune them, and I'm totally clueless about plants.

    Shrub #1 (Located in SW Ontario)

    A dwarf cultivar of Blue Spruce Picea pungens. Best not pruned at all, except to remove any dead twigs.

    Thank you. The previous owner of the house regularly hacked this shrub into a round ball and it did not look very happy. I have been letting it grow on its own, and I thank you for your comments since it will help me convince my wife to let me NOT prune it. =)
