I too am wondering what to do with my Frontenac, Bath and Soverign Coronation I am in the Okanagan Valley.(Kelowna area) What do I do to winterize them? they are close to my house. and are about 2 yrs old.

also what kind of soil do they need. It is really graveley. I do want to add better soil to continue to build good established root systems.
I am very new to the area and am learning all about grape growing. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Ty marleyrae ;)

Looks like the varieties are hardy enough for your area. If I were you I would let them take care of themselves. It is what I "do" with my grapes. Since the roots are most voulnerable you could put some straw mulch around the plants for better protection. I am thinking, when writing this, may be I will do that, too.
As for the soil, like many other plants, grapes prefer rich, deep, well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
