    G'day,

I have an adenium desert rose which sprouted two seed pods about 4 months ago.
how long should i wait for these to open?
i think the pods are draining a lot of the plants growth, because since it started to shoot the seed pods it has had almost no new growth in the leaves or stems.
should i just cut the pods off?
will the seeds even be viable?

I'd leave them, they're probably not too far off ripe by now. The lack of other growth might just be the time of year - spring growth followed by summer slowdown now as it matures its spring growth.

A bit of extra fertiliser might help, try a high potassium mix for fruiting plants.

Wait for the pods to split before harvesting the seeds.
