    Last but not least..

A beast of a Shishigashira. The photo’s do not do its magnificence justice.

Beautiful Luke, the shot you took down the valley to the house is a special photo.
Very Autumnal, and on the 2nd September. Love it !!

Some of the colours starting to change gives you an idea of what is to come. 6 weeks from now it will be a wonderful place to go. Torn between that and Westonbirt lol

Same here, but Westonbirt might be a bit difficult this year with social distancing!!? It does get very busy there in the Autumn.

    Lovely Batsford, thanks!

I think the tree in the first photos of the second post may possibly be A. shirasawanum 'Palmatifolium'.

I knew nothing about Batsford, I just tripped across it by chance..so I was not aware until I had spoken to staff in the nursery that they had an extensive collection of JM, I’d never heard of it..I will take a trip for sure.. As you have done Batsford, I’d go to Westonbirt in October!

Did you like that Koto no ito In the nursery? definitely worth the money I think..I’ve seen trees of that age sell for twice the price!

    Wonderful photos.

First pic was this P. Elegans I take it? Very nice :)
Second below.. ?? Leaf shape looks like Amoenum, very different from osakazuki’s that I’ve seen or was that tag photo related to the following photo?

Yes the first one is Elegans. Very beautiful. There is an Elegans at Westonbirt and I have a picture of it in late October. It is one of my favourites.

Yes the Koto-no-Ito is well worth the £329 price tag! It has a very nice shape.

£329 is nothing these days for a large specimen tree and after seeing this thread today 4 leaves for $8,000.
The world has gone a little bit mad!!!
