Some of the colours starting to change gives you an idea of what is to come. 6 weeks from now it will be a wonderful place to go. Torn between that and Westonbirt lol
Same here, but Westonbirt might be a bit difficult this year with social distancing!!? It does get very busy there in the Autumn.

I knew nothing about Batsford, I just tripped across it by chance..so I was not aware until I had spoken to staff in the nursery that they had an extensive collection of JM, I’d never heard of it..I will take a trip for sure.. As you have done Batsford, I’d go to Westonbirt in October! Did you like that Koto no ito In the nursery? definitely worth the money I think..I’ve seen trees of that age sell for twice the price!

Yes the first one is Elegans. Very beautiful. There is an Elegans at Westonbirt and I have a picture of it in late October. It is one of my favourites.
£329 is nothing these days for a large specimen tree and after seeing this thread today 4 leaves for $8,000. The world has gone a little bit mad!!!
