On the Pacific Populaire 100k Bike Ride today, the cyclists were able to enjoy a spectacular display of blossoms on No 5 Road by the various temples out to Dyke Road. Wish I had a GoPro mounted on my helmet to photograph them.

Ichiyo Ichiyo at 6259 Azure Rd, Richmond starts to bloom at this time. There is a Taihaku in blossoms, grafted under the tree trunk.
Ito-kukuri Another Ito-kukuri at the entrance of WorkSafe BC is in blossom now. (upon second checking, it is not Takasago)
That didn't look too convincing for 'Takasago' to me - no hairs on the pedicels for one thing. I thought in the Is this Ito-Kukuri? Double pinky-white, later than Takasago thread that we decided all the WorkSafe BC trees were 'Ito-kukuri'. They're only a little later than 'Takasago' this year, though, since they seem to be just coming out and 'Takasago' should be completely open.
We did double check. And yes, you are right! They both are Ito-kukuri. Sorry about this. And thanks for pointing out the difference.
The north part of Azure Road is at WorkSafe BC. Those are the only ones reported here on Azure Rd. There are 'Ichiyo' posted on the part where it heads NE before turning east - if they're really 'Ito-kukuri', you haven't told us.
Autumnalis Rosea is blooming at 7151 Moffatt Road. We have not seen it blooms so early and so much in numbers before.
There are some beautiful branches of the rare Shosar blooming on MInoru near Alderbridge. It's interesting that in the little grove of trees at the entrance to several businesses, one can see the influence of the warmth of the buildings in hastening the big luscious and crowded blossoms. It's worth the trip to see them and with today's blue sky, your photos will be magnificent. In the meantime....
Autumnalis Rosea We are delighted to see Autumnalis Rosea at 7151 Moffatt Road in such beautiful display. We first saw its flowers in the mid-November last year. We are happy to see it doing so well after all these months.
Pandora has over its peak We found a bit late to report pandora on 8655 Jones Street. They all passed over the peaks. No humming bees around. Sad but pretty on the ground though.
The last Whitcomb this year This is probably the last whitcomb in Richmond we saw. Its flowers around Alexandria Street had been gone. However, we still have the chance to see some in Dorchester and on 7151 Moffatt Road.
Accolade in Season Accolade is blooming quite a while but in peak this time. There are 50+ planted on one side of Williams Street. Many more in Livingstone Place(just in the corner of Granville and Gilbert). Ten more in Yaohan Centre. One is a beauty standing by the wooden bridge in Minoru Park. You won't miss it.
