    Greetings.

    History:
+ Jade plant - 1 year old; clipping from my grandmother's plant
    + small pot
+ original dirt - added Miracle Grow soil to top of pot 08/12
+ very healthy (green, strong, tall) until 09/12
+ transported from MI --> New Brunswick --> NC --> New Brunswick

    Problem:
+ root rot 9/12 & very brittle - took out bad roots, planted small clipping in top of dirt
+ moved to warm environment, watering sparingly, adequate sun
+ last two weeks - red tint, droopy & thin leaves

I am very upset! I have done much research and can't seem to get my Jade to be healthy. I just watered it from the bottom and am hoping it will aid the droopy leaves. Could the environment, too much sun, etc be causing problems?

    All help appreciated!

I have found that if you give a Jade too much sun the leaves will turn red. Because it is a succulent I used to under water my plant and the leaves would get thin and shrivel up. I have discovered that it likes adequate water and bright light( but not sun) in the summer and then less water and some sun in the winter. Was your cutting plump and healthy when you set it up? If it was shriveled and unhappy it just may not have rooted well.
