    I live in zone 7.
Every spring, my kiwi produce thousands of tiny fruit. They grow for a week or two and then fall off the vine stem and all.
This is frustrating because every year the kiwi fall to the ground.

Is there anything that I can do?

Have they been effected by frost or cold weather? What variety of Kiwi is it?

Usually, we don't have a frost after they flower and I'm not sure what variety they are other than I recall avery cold hearty variety.

Sorry that I don't have more details.

Most Kiwi fruits grow on vines that have all female flowers and require pollination from a compatible male vine. Lack of pollination is the most likely reason for dropping the fruit. If you have a cold-hardy Kiwi, it is probably Actinidia arguta, which bears numerous grape-size fruits in small clusters. Variety "Issai" is self-fertile and will bear a good crop without a pollinator.

    Thank you for that information.

I now recall it is Issai.

I was concerned about late frosts.

'Issai' may be self-fertile, but it'll still benefit from cross-pollination from a different cultivar.

I have brought in 2 more varieties and was not providing adequate Nitrogen.

We'll see what happens this season.

My Issai Kiwi has no pollinator nearby and I always get an abundant crop of fruit. My only complaint is that it bears too heavily, which affects the size of the individual fruits. I've been experimenting with different cultural practices to reduce the quantity of fruits. I used to have a male Actinidia arguta nearby but didn't notice any impact on fruit size or abundance when I removed it.

Before all the kiwi fall off, there were thousands like you mention and I had even started thinning them but to no avail.
