Possibly an Aloe or Haworthia, but I am no expert. Someone will come along with the correct name no doubt.

    Aloe juvenna

Its a very distinctive small growing caulescent species from the Rift Valley of Kenya.

It is very easy to grow under general succulent care and branches prolifically from the base.

Probably Aloe juvenna, sometimes called tiger jaws aloe. There's a thread on this forum about Aloe juvenna and A. squarrosa that would be of help to you. If I got it right, A. squarrosa has recurved leaves, A. juvenna has shorter leaves and teeth (but how to compare, right?) rope-like stems. Here's a link with more info: www.cactus-art.biz/schede/ALOE/Aloe
