    Good day all,

I've planted my first asparagus garden this year. About two months ago actually. I had to move them because of overgrown trees. I was reading that I should have used 0-20-0 fertilizer on them. A "Superphosphate" type fertilizer. I've been looking around all day trying to find some. Does anyone have any home hobby type suggestions? Can I creat a hi phosphate mulch for my garden?

Any assistance you could give me in this matter is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks/Best Regards
    Seagazer.

I planted some about 2 years ago. You are not to eat them the first year. I use leaf mulch on them and I have a friend who uses sawdust (mounds of it) around his. I forgot the fertilizer too, but I think the mulch has done about the same thing. Just keep the roots covered up and keep adding every time the stalk grows thru until you have about a total of the root covered by about 8" or more of something.

    P.S.I live in Salisbury NC.
