    Folks,

I am planning to grow some MGs in hanging baskets on the front porch. I am soaking them in warm water now for 24hrs before sowing.

Now I haven't grown these before, so don't know how to get better germination apart from what have read on the net. Does anyone have tips/suggestions on how to get these to grow and bloom?

    Thx

Nick the seeds, I use a nail file. Then soak in warm water 12-24hrs.

Yup - they'll germinate faster and better if they're opened before you soak them. Once you've got them going, though, you'll be hard pressed to control them - don't let any seedpods open on your vines (ie pinch off the flowers after they close) if you want to keep them confined to their baskets and out of the rest of your yard....
