You might well find that you have commercial growers right in your area. Your County Extension Office will be able to not only give you growing information, but should be able to cite sources from whom you can get seed peanuts. Give them a call.
Are you thinking to grow it commercially or for fun? If you are thinking of growing some for fun, just use the raw, uncooked peanuts, with membranes intact, from the grocery stores.
