Anyone have an idea of what this is buried in the ground? (cable, sprinker?)

Was digging to plant a tree and saw this black tube thingy. Not sure if it's a cable line, a phone line or a sprinkler line?

Can't be electrical cable since it's barely 12 inches underground.

@vbx, may not be official electrical cable, but the previous owner of your house may have laid a cable to garden lights etc etc.
I would investigate where it leads, 'but on NO account cut it'.

Yeah, good idea. I'll see where it leads to by digging around it.

Any line buried that shallow is most likely a sprinkler line.

Been to hot for me to dig up. It's a strange line. The sprinklers lines I have are all PVC. The mods I've done to move the sprinkler head, I used a rainbird line which has a green line running across it and made of a used tire like rubber. This is pretty thin plastic.

So this is weird. I'll have to see where it leads to.
