Hedges: Thuja occidentalis (Smaragd Arborvitae)

    How close can i plant these to my house? I would like to use these as a background in my landscaping.

    Closer than many other trees, but still safest at least 4-5 metres away, particularly on clay soils. On sandy soils, you'd be OK planting a little closer than that.

    I would think 2 about putting a thuja anywhere close to my house. They burn very well.
