Victoria BC: I'm growing zucchini in a large plastic flower pot this year. The specimen was fine -- vigorous and green -- and produced a few zukes -- but recently the plant has turned yellow, and the flowers are dropping without any fruit forming. As usual, the plant has the early touches of gray mold, but this is the first time a plant has become so anemic. Any suggestions as to what's going on?

Squash vine borer biology and management
Squash vine borer moth can be disastrous for small-scale vegetables growers and a nuisance for large-scale producers.

I quit growing the squash due to this borer. Alive today and dead tomorrow.
    You may have it present.
