I am curious as to the grow zone in the SW of France, specifically in the Midi-Pyrenees in Gers. Montegut arros is about 1.5 hours south of Auch, 20 minutes north of Tournay. I would also be interested in any recommendations of books on the subject of gardening in this area. Linda
According to the Europe hardiness map found by following the Hardiness Zone Maps link in the forum sidebar, Montegut-Arros is in zone 8, possibly zone 7.
Depends on the altitude. According to here: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montégut-Arros between 170 m – 334 m, so not particularly high, so zone 8.
