These are photographs of a Zamia furfuracea (for the furry red hairs on the leaves and stem) throwing new leaves. Also called "cardboard palm" because of their stiff leaves, these make great house plants as dry indoor conditions are similar to that of their native Mexico.

I have D. spinulosum and C. revoluta both sending new leaves dispite the cool overnight temps (44f - 48f). The mild sunny days must be in agreement with them.

Cheers, LPN. (I should post a pic ... perhaps later)
