too late to plant potatoes in Vancouver? If not, who still has them?

Hi -- Does anyone know where to find Yukon Gold or seed potatoes of other tasty varieties in Vancouver, BC? I've only spotted boring potato varieties in local gardening stores.

West Coast Seeds carries Yukon Gold.

A source / organization you might get involved with in future years (their events are over for this year) is Seedy Saturday - trading and maintenance of heirloom / heritage varieties of plants.

Good point, thank you. But I think I may be too late -- West Coast Seeds is sold out of seed potatoes, and so is GardenWorks. Anyone else seen them around recently? Is it too late to plant potatoes?

Art Knapps in PoCo may have some. I know they have seed potatoes left, but since I don't grow them, I didn't pay attention to the varieties.

Another thing you may try is hitting the farmers markets and asking the stall owners if they have any organic potatoes from last year.

    good luck
