Yuccca roots

Our Yucca died and it is being cut down and removed...all but the roots and stump which we hope to remove soon. I know nothing about the root system of a yucca. Is it huge and deep or small and compact or shallow? It would be helpful to have some idea of what to expect so we know how much and what kind of help to get and how much we may have to disturb the beds arount it.

Take a spade and start poking around, see what you find.

 

Thick tuber, depends on how big your plant was, the root also may not be dead, check it out.
