Young Tree in Front Yard

    In our front yard is a tree and we are trying to indentity it. I have attached a picture and hopefully it is enough to indentity the tree. Thanks

    Please can you add more pics to this thread once the leaves are fully open.To give an id now would just be guess work.

    Quick, let's place bets before the leaves open up. I'm thinking it's some kind of oak.

    Good thinking, could well be Quercus borealis going by the shoot and bud scales. My first thought last night was something with pinnate leaves, but they could be deep lobes rather than leaflets.
