    Hi all

Anyone know if all the 10 species of Taxus are variable in levlels of alkaloids
however they all have red berrys but ive noticed that some Taxus baccata
cultivars have orange or yellow berrys.

    Thanks for any information

The arils (berries) are non-toxic anyway, regardless of colour. It's the seed, needles, and bark that contain taxanes. I can't comment on taxane concentrations in various species though I have read that it can vary quite siginificantly in a single species (T. canadensis in this case) due to genetic variability.
