yellowing skimmia

    My mother has two skimmia plants in her garden (northfacing, shade, hardpan soil).
    One, that was planted about 5 years ago is beautiful.
    The one we put in last spring is growing well, no signs of distress or disease other than the leaves are now lime green all over.

    These are prone to both mites and magnesium deficiency.

    Yep, we had a mite infestation on all of the Skimmia in the garden a few years ago - pretty interesting to see the discolouration. Are you able to post a photograph?
