Yellow Wildflowers

    I found this flower while out walking the dog, I did not have my camera with me so I picked the flower. There were lots of them!

    I think it is a Lotus corniculatus.

    Is it a common flower for British Columbia? I have seen them everywhere around here.

    Bird's foot trefoil is a plant in the legume family from Europe/Africa. It has been planted for forage in pastures as well as along roads and highways for erosion protection. It's a common, hard-to-remove weed in lawns and natural areas.
