What is the cause of the yellow on the tips of my lemon leaves? Some of the tips are dead. what could this be? Thanks!
Yellowing leaves may be a sign of poor drainage/wetsoil or a need for fertilizer (fruit trees need lots of Nitrogen).
Is your lemon planted in a container or outdoors? Sorry after looking at the above photos it looks like a container grown Lemon. The problem apperars to be sault build up from ferts. Not uncommon . My tip is to have good soil drainage , soak you container in the sink, bath tub or container, fill to the brim and let it soak for an hour or two. this will loosen the saults or salts from the root zone. Flush the container with fresh water a few times. They love the bath and should have new growth within the month or two. All container citrus sould be done like this every three to for four months. I live within the Great Lakes, not a citrus zone.
Thanks I will flush it out today. Millet the fertilizer I use is Dynamite #9 I think I will just change the soil, its been a while since Iv done that.
If you are using a slow release fertilizer than it probably is not a biuret toxicity. If it has been more than two years since you re-potted your tree, you need to do so. - Millet
