I planted a new shrub rose in early April, and when I planted it, it had a couple of yellow leaves. Now there are a lot more yellow leaves. Is this a lack of something?

I would wonder a few things,
has the plant any black spots? have you got flower buds coming? and have you fed it or planted it with bone meal or anything?
Chances are it is hungry for food, if you see black spots as well, then remove them, and throw them in the garbage not compost. What was the condition of the roots when you planted it, were they root bound? did you cut away the access before you planted.
