I'm trying to identify a small yellow fruit. My husband brought this home from a job he was working on in San Diego. The garderner who gave him some of the fruit told him that he'd only seen this in Mexico but didn't know the name. I don't know what the tree/bush looks like, nor do I know what the flower looks like. My husband did bring home a leaf. The fruit is juicy and has a melon/pear flavor.

    Looks like loquat (Eriobotrya japonica).
