Yellow flowers in January

    Yellow on green is associated with spring, not with January. But in Vancouver, at UBCBG some small things are talking about coming spring.

    Chimonanthus praecox cv. Grandiflorus, 3AB1, on the left side of Upper Asian way near tunnel. My second picture was made years ago in Tokyo, January 27, this means we are not behind Japan in winter bloom

    Another Chimonanthus praecox or just Chimonanthus , robai in Japanese, it doesn't have dark yellow inside and the flower is more rounded to inside, these too probably different sp. but what I heard, they are both robai
