Wildflowers: woodland, tiny purple flowersm plant id help

    found in wooded area here in central arkansas

    shady to sunny location

    mostly clay soil and leaf litter

    about 2 ft tall

    no new flower picture available, season seems to be over, seed pods starting

    need help with plant id? thanks for your efforts

    Looks sort of like Perilla frutescens

    oh yes, you are right - thanks for checking

    I also just received an e-mail from the county extension agent, with a list of plants, which people bring most often, and which they like to get identified and the perilla mint was one of them

    it's a poisonous plants to horses and other animals - good to know
