The bush is apprx. 5' tall. Anyone know what it is? Very slow growing. Birds do not seem to eat the berries. I cannot find it on the Net. Hope you can help. Dark purple berries. I live in Central NY State. Thanks
Looks generally like a buckthorn (Rhamnus). There are species of foreign origin that are weeds in eastern North America. People ask about them repeatedly on internet forums.
