I recently cut two banana plant "pups" from a large healthy plant, and transplanted them in pots. The root system was OK but some disruption is to be expected when moving. I also bruised the leaves, and was told to just cut them off. Now I have a naked 5.5ft tall stalk or whatever you call it, and I dont know if it will live... I just wanted to try to keep one indoors through the winter so I would have a pretty large plant by next summer to put on my balcony. Any info on winterizing would be helpful I live in a one bedroom apartment so I cant pull it up and stick it in a basement or any other place for that matter..... Heres a pic of the stick in a pot, and my dirt eating goblin...
