Winter treatment

Discussion in 'Maples' started by Unregistered, Dec 2, 2005.

  1. I have a japenese maple that is maybe a yr or two old and have bought it inside my house for the winter. Is this the correct thing to do? Never had one before, we live in Texas where it gets below freezing a few nights each winter. Do I need to fertilize? Any help and/or advise would be appreciated.

Put it back outside. Your chances of having it survive in the house are somewhere between slim and none. Your chances that it will be just fine outside are very good.
