Hello all. We had a bad storm this week in NJ that produced sleet and ice before snow accumulation. The ice and snow weight ended up snapping the main runner of my new Sango Kaku (coral bark). I have attached two pictures. How will the tree react to the damage? Is it salvageable or will I need to replace it? Will growth be hindered now if it lives?

    Thanks for your help!

It will grow a new main runner from a bud or from an existing branch. No big problem. Definitely no threat to survival.
