Hello- I am new to this forum, an lover of all things growing and green, and here with a question I hope someone may answer for me. I am looking at a property in the northern california central valley. I am wondering if anyone can tell me the length of time it takes from putting wine producing vines in the ground to actually producing grapes for wine production? How long does it take new shoots to take root AND produce, or produce well?
Any help with this question appreciated, a green greenie.

Putting an answer in as no-one else has answered yet - I don't know myself, but suspect the best place to look for info would be vine growers' associations. Otherwise, are there any vineyards nearby you could visit and ask for advice?
