windmill palm tree

  1. i have a windwill palm tree that started to bloom about 3 years ago it is about 8 or 9 years old it produces seeds on the bloom and i was wondering if i could save these seeds for planting. if so how and when do i need to plant. i tried to save some last year but could not get them to come up.

    Windmill seeds

    You require a male and female palm to produce seeds on the female only. The seeds are ripe by February and will turn a dark blue almost black colour and will be kidney shaped.
    Do you have more than one palm?
