I have a small windmill palm that I got back in july of last year. Kept it outside until it was getting cold, and its been indoors since about october or so. around about feb or so, I noticed this white fungus/mold growing on the top of the soil. Watering it made it go away, but it would grow back.

So I got rid of all the soil, cleaned the tree pot, rinsed off the tree and replanted it with new soil. The mold/fungus is back again. I havent noticed it impacting the tree as of yet, but id rather figure it out before it does!

Sometimes I even see little white things crawling around, not many, maybe the size of a spec of sand.

    Any help?

Fungi are by-and-large beneficial organisms. No reason to treat something
    that's not a problem.
